Texas Music–Produced Events

Texas Music doesn’t just bring stories about music to its audience, it brings music—from multi-day festivals to pop-up concerts.

Front Porch Sessions

Launched early in the pandemic, Front Porch Sessions began as livestreamed virtual concerts. It now includes both in-person or livestreamed shows. Virtual concerts are presented on Texas Music’s YouTube and Facebook channels, often streamed from a sponsor’s venue. Performers have included Band of Heathens, Jackie Venson, Black Joe Lewis, Shakey Graves, Shinyribs and more.

Bands to Watch

An annual tradition with Texas Music’s sister publication, Austin Monthly, this event invites readers to experience a handful of performances by artists on the rise at an Austin venue shortly before the South by Southwest music festival kicks off.

Conroe Crossroads Music Festival

This festival debuts in the Houston suburb April 7-10. More than 40 shows at venues around downtown Conroe will feature a variety of Texas musicians, representing many musical genres. Wristbands offer attendees access to every show, and free shows invite the general public to get a taste of the fun during the day.

Bastrop Music Festival

September 2022 will mark the fourth festival for the community that’s just a short drive from Austin. Four days of music features artists from a variety of genres, at venues around Bastrop. Wristbands offer attendees access to every show, and free shows invite the general public to get a taste of the fun during the day.
