A celebration of the birthdays of two rock legends David Bowie and Elvis Presley, BowiElvis Fest makes its return on Friday, January 7th to The Far Out Lounge. Presented by Splice Records for the 13th year, and showcasing local talent including Graveltooth, Brian Scartocci and Electric Gold, BowiElvis Fest honors the two icons by mixing bands sets with cover songs from both artists as well as their original tunes. Adding to the tributes will be face painting (guests can get the iconic Ziggy Stardust bolt) and a costume contest for the best Bowie or Elvis. BowiElvis Fest will also take place on Saturday January 8th in Houston at The Continental Club Houston.
