Megan Thee Stallion is fast becoming a style icon, as evidenced by her appearance on the cover of New York magazine’s new issue.

The Houston hip-hop icon graces the magazine’s cover wearing a corset dress in white silk, a bonded latex body suit, latex gloves, latex leggings and pumps.

She appears almost as a sculpture in the unique creation by Andreas Kronthaler, contrasted with latex, adding to the ownership of her sexuality that she’s become known for. The cover is just the beginning of the stylish spread by Jessica Willis, New York’s style director.

“There’s no one better to embody the full range of sexiness than Megan Thee Stallion, whose lyrics have become life mantras,” writes New York editor-in-chief Lindsay Peoples. “Her new album, Traumazine, is the definition of turning pain into the most authentic art. It would be easy to sink beneath the barrage of opinions and criticism. But strength comes from finding solid ground, planting roots, and trying to grow above the noise.”

In the opening paragraph of Ashley C. Ford’s profile, Stallion asserts, “Nice is fake. Playtime is over, and all that nicey, nicey? That’s done.” The remainder of the article follows accordingly.

Another of Stallion’s looks include a black restricted strapless bodysuit, and a wool coat with fur collar coordinated with an over-knee black and white imitation leather. The spread is heavy on the color black, as displayed by a black cutout gown accessorized with satin-finish 18-karat oval hoop earning.

If it wasn’t any secret, Stallion loves a good bodysuit. She wears one more in black spandex alongside a silver faux fur coat and linked earrings. The spread closes with an elegant backshot of her hugging herself wearing an almost translucent gown.

Stylish cover appearances are becoming old hat for Stallion. Last year, for example, she graced the cover of Sports Illustrated‘s swimsuit issue.
